This is an old country road close to my home in Michigan.Time
I was out shooting early in the morning and passed by this road but it was still too dark. I knew i wanted to shoot it so i came back when it was a little lighter about 9:00 AMLighting
It was an overcast morning but the sun was still very low in the sky.Equipment
Cannon EOS T3i. I used a tripod and had to make several attempts due to traffic coming and going. Cars were coming pretty fast and due to the curves there wasnt much time to move out of the way.Inspiration
Autumn in Michigan is always spectacular. I had seen some similar shots on viewbug and have always been drawn to the "s" curve shape and how it leads your eye through the picture. this was my first attempt at an s curve shot. I am very pleased with how it turned out.Editing
I did tweak the color slightly. Its amazing how bright and vibrant the colors already were so i tried to be careful not to get too agressive with color enhancement.In my camera bag

Wait for the right colors. There is usually only about a four day window for this. Wait for the right light. I prefer early mornings rather then early evenings. And most importantly, watch out for traffic!!
