Location
My parents feed birds year round at their house, so they always have a lot of different birds coming in to their feeders. I am an amateur photographer, so I like to practice different shots where there are lots of opportunities.Time
This photo was taken late afternoon during a snow shower.Lighting
This photo was taken from inside the house, with only the natural light.Equipment
This was shot using a Canon Rebel T3i, with a 5-300mm, f 5.6, ISO: 2500, and exposure 1/320. No other equipment was used.Inspiration
As an amateur photographer, this was the first time I had an opportunity to shoot pictures during a snow storm. I was experimenting with photos of the birds to see how the snow would show up in the photos.Editing
The only editing to this photo was cropping it in slightly. In my camera bag
I always have my Canon Rebel T3i body, along with the 75-300mm Canon lens, the 18-55mm Canon lens, and the 28-90mm Canon lens. These give me lots of options in terms of distance and zoom for various circumstances.Feedback
Watch the weather forecast so that you are prepared when the weather conditions and light conditions are optimal. Pick your location to give you many different opportunities with birds and be patient.
