A shot from Hampi.
Photographed in the Anjanadri hill, I spotted this tree and its reflection in a small pool of water. The Sun was slowly setting and I decided to make a silhouette of the scene. I saw a person passing by and I thought it symbolized the Human race. We, the mankind, are slowly getting away from nature

The photo was taken on the top of a hill in Hampi, India. There was a splash of rain that afternoon which created a few puddles here and there. I was looking for the reflection of the tree when this lady passed by. I was quick to capture a couple of quick frames.Time
This is perhaps one of my favorite images. The hike to the top of the hill was hectic considering my fitness standards and humidity in the air. I remember going there late in the afternoon to catch a glimpse of the Sunset. I spotted this puddle and the reflection of the tree. As I was taking some pictures, this lady entered into my frame and slowly walked away. The setting sun painted the sky with the orange hue and with the silhouette I got my frame.Lighting
The light was beautiful! sunset colors and a little haze in the atmosphere added to the mood of the photograph.Equipment
I used a Nikon D90 with a 18-200 lens. I didn't carry any tripod so had to handhold it. I wanted the photo a little under exposed and didn't fire the flash to bring in the mood.Inspiration
Images of lonely trees - I just love them. They talk to me, they evoke an emotion. For this image, I am thankful to all the masters who taught me photography with their beautiful imagery, their books and blogs. I am also thankful to the all the fellow photographers with whom I share this incredible platform of viewbug. Each of them inspire me every day to make a better image.Editing
I used Adobe Photoshop to enhance the effects of sunset colors in this image. I also used clone stamping tool to remove a few distracting elements from the image. In my camera bag
I normally carry a Nikon D810 with a sigma 24mm art attached to it. As a backup, I carry a Nikon D90 with Tokina 11-16. I am someone who is very fond of wide lenses and I generally stick to these two lenses for most of my photographs.Feedback
Just keep shooting. Only practice makes us better photographers.
