Location
I took this photo at a small airport in Ohio. I took my dad to see the old planes. He had a great time and I got to take some great pics, so we both had a wonderful time.Time
This photo was taken inside the airport's museum during the afternoon. We had spent several hours outdoors before moving indoors to view the museum. I took many shots of the planes, but loved the props!Lighting
Lighting was not the greatest inside the museum, however I was able to get the shots I wanted by changing angles.Equipment
I used my Nikon P80 with the flash, no other equipment.Inspiration
As we were walking around all the planes, I realized that I was most drawn to the props. I began looking for a plane where I could capture only the prop.Editing
I used a basic program to add the shading around the edges.In my camera bag
Depends on what my objective is. This shot was taken with my "walk around" camera since my intent was just to capture shots of the afternoon with dad. If I am going out with some more serious photoghraphy in mind, I take my Nikon 5100 with my 18-55mm plus my filters, lens hood and tripod.Feedback
The best advice I can give is to pay attention to details. If you find the shot you want, have the patience to to make sure all the details (light, angle, framing, etc) are correct.
