Behind The Lens
Location
The Cliffs of Moher, Liscannor, Co. Claire, Ireland.Time
It was taken around 7:30pm in August 2011, we wanted to sneak a peak at the cliffs before sunset on our first night of a 5 day stay. We were all so excited to see the view that we didn't care if things were closed, we went anyway. We were able to wander around without too many people getting in the way of our photographs.Lighting
The Aperture was set at f/5.6, ISO was 100 & Exposure was 1/80.Equipment
This was taken with Canon EOS REBEL T3i. This photo was taken with a standard 18-55 lens, handheld and no flash.Inspiration
I was in complete awe of the cliffs and the view and surprised how many people were hiking alongside the cliffs at night.Editing
No processing, whatsoever. In my camera bag
I had a Canon EOS REBEL T3i at the time, which was perfect for travelling due to the ease of use. I have since upgraded to a 70D which I am still learning new tricks with. I tend to replace my cameras before they are a year or two old but keep using the same lenses as I love the functionality of them. I carry a 50mm, 75-300 & 55-200; which is the one I use the most lately. I also carry a flash, extra batteries, cards & the battery charger just in case.Feedback
Take many photos - zoom in but also zoom out. Try new things - something you would not normally do. Try different angles - get down low or up higher if you can. Use natural surrounding to frame images. Once you discover what you are really good at or what you enjoy, challenge yourself to go further and improve on that.
