Location
this is the leaf of a tree in my front yard of my house in Oxnard California.Time
I believe this was in the morning but am unsure of the time. If I were to guess I would say around 10 am.Lighting
sunlight day with shadows in the background.Equipment
I shot this with my Nikon D7000 and Nikkor 105mm f/2.8 macro lens. It was handheld and no flash.Inspiration
I wanted to do a walk thru my neighborhood with just my macro lens to practice my macro shots.Editing
No post processing was done to this image. In my camera bag
I have 4 different bags depending on what I am shooting. The biggest is a backpack that can carry 2 cameras and 5 lenses with flashes and other accessories. My smaller and most used bag will carry my camera and 3 lenses. Usually my 18-105 zoom is on my camera. 2 extra lenses are usually my 70-300 zoom and my 105 macro. Also some accessories like filters and cleaning equipment.Feedback
For something like this it helps to start looking at the small world that we usually don't see. The macro world is everywhere and we need to open our eyes to see. Then It is a matter of making sure the lighting is just how you want it. In this case position yourself around the subject until the light is right.
