This is a really great shot. I love good black and white shots; they all seem to tell a story. A different story to each viewer. That being said. Behind The Lens

Location
In a small studio in my living room using a small softbox
Time
Mid-afternoon with available light coming from my sliding back door and a small softbox
Lighting
A small softbox just to the left of the camera set at medium power
Equipment
Nikon D300 ,50mm 1.4 @F 4,
Inspiration
Doing a series I call The Detective this is part of the series
Editing
Past using Aperture and then into silver efex pro 2 then back into Aperture for a tad bit of contrast and sharpening
In my camera bag
Nikon D 300, 18-70 ,50 1.4, once in a while an old hasselblad 500c with two 120 back one for color and the other for black and white.
Feedback
The wireless remote is awesome for this type of selfies and patience to get the light right to get this one shot I took a lot then smoked a really nasty cheap cigar to get the smoke the way I saw it in my head.
