Vernal Fall from Mist Trail in Yosemite National Park.

That's Liberty Cap in the background. The day was as gorgeous as it looks.

You can get really soaked by the fall from this distance, but the wind was blowing the mist away from us, so we were high and dry.

You may have seen this photo before in the lobby of one of the many fine lodging establishments in and around the park.

I was honored to donate it to the Yosemite Conservancy when they approached me about using it for the cover of the rack card for their Dollar-A-Night giving program.

If you love the park, you really might want to consider a small donation to them, because visitor contributions really do make a difference, and the Conservancy is the only philanthropic organization dedicated exclusively to preserving and protecting Yosemite.
