Location
I took this picture just outside my back door. I had to climb up onto the top of my son's truck and used my telescopic lens. I waited patiently for this shot. With being self taught, I look ways of improving my photography and enjoy as much time outside as I can!Time
This was early in the evening. After noticing the male and female kept flying back and forth several times, I realized there was a nest in the tree. Thankfully my son's truck was parked close by the tree!Lighting
I used the on camera flash to help with the lighting because it was in the deepest shade!Equipment
Canon Rebel TS3, 75 - 300 mm, on camera flash, no other equipmentInspiration
I am fascinated by wildlife and how they take care of their young! With these Cardinals, both the Mom and Dad took turns bringing food! One of them would always stay close by while the other finds food.Editing
No any post-processing!In my camera bag
I usually have my Canon EOS Rebel T3 along with a Canon Zoom Lens EF-S 18-55mm as well as a Canon Zoom Lens EF 75-300mm. I also carry a lens a friend gave me but do not use it very often because of a couple little scratches: Canon Zoom Lens EF 28-80mm. I have an extra battery and the battery charger. I am hoping to be able to add more lenses soon.Feedback
Just be sure not to disturb the nest or touch the baby birds because the parents will abandon them.
