Location
This photo was taken on US 98 in Florida. Thankfully, a wrong turn landed me here!Time
As you can see in the photo it was taken at sunset!Lighting
Natural sunset lighting is my favorite lighting environment to shoot in!Equipment
I used a Nikon D7100 with a 18-140mm lens. The camera was situated atop a tripod and a remote was used to release the shutter.Inspiration
After photographing a family on the beach, i was returning home. Confused on which highway i was to take home (was looking for the fastest route) i turned down this highway. As i drove, i could tell that this was going to be a magnificent sunset, knowing i had all my gear i told myself i would stop to take a picture, so the next available spot i could safely stop, i did. This photo was the result.Editing
Yes, this is a compilation of a few photos to get the true depth of the sunset. After merging the photos in a photo merging software i opened it in photoshop to tweak the exposure to have the black foreground effect focusing all of the attention to the colors of the sunset. In my camera bag
I normally carry two lens', an 18-140mm and a 55-200mmm. Multiple memory cards, a remote, back up batteries, an intervalometer and a lens cleaning kit!Feedback
Yes! Take your time, and NEVER give up the opportunity to take a photo! You never know what you might get!
