Photographers call it the magic hours , when the sun is in a low angle either morning or evening. It really works well if you know what to do with your camera and have a sense of composition. This valley is special because unlike other places the magic hours could actually last 15-20 min longer and can take more shots.Equipment
I used the Nikon D80 with the 18-70 kit lens and a Hoya polarized filter. No tripod , no flash.Inspiration
I had a really beautiful glow in the air and since I had my camera bag with me I did the best I could to capture the moment. Since lighting always changing I could not resist to miss it.Editing
Very basic since I believe in to do the most with your camera according to the lighting condition and the capability of your camera and your knowledge. A bit of contrast, highlighted areas and cropping to make the horizon level. In my camera bag
The one that takes photos. :-)))) Nikon D7100 Nikon D 80 Nikon 18-70,VR 18-300,VR 70-300,1.8 50 ,Sigma 10-20 Nikon SB 900 Polarized & graduated ND filters are must have, lens pen and cleaning kit, USB stick.Feedback
Always keep your eye open for good locations and keep track of the direction of light, possible shooting locations and often visit them. Get inspired by other photographers and learn as much as passible. Low angle close to the ground, use the corners of the picture frame things to start from or finish. Pay attention on angle of light on main subject and if you include water make sure it's either like a glass or if not use long shutter speed to make it silkier. Most importantly have passion and joy!!!!! Make sure you have your camera with you most of the time. When you don't , that's when you wish I had it with me. Good lights and luck.
