In my Mum's garden. She is a gardener, and has a magnificent garden! Victoria, Australia.Time
Early afternoon, 1-2pm.Lighting
It was an overcast day which gave it a natural, soft light.Equipment
I used a Nikon D3200 DSLR camera with a Nikkor 18-55mm lens and Hoya +4 magnifier filter.Inspiration
The beauty of a perfect pink rose bud and the challenge to capture it the way I saw it through my own eyes. Sometimes the most simple things can make a really beautiful photo :)Editing
Yes. I didn't do a great deal but using Photoshop, I adjusted the light and contrast a little bit. I tried to keep it as natural as possible! In my camera bag
Nikon D3200 DSLR camera, a set of Hoya +1, +2, +3, +4 magnifier filters . A Nikkor 18-55mm lens and a Sigma 70-300mm lens with lens hood. A Kenko polarizer filter, a gray card, and spare SD card.Feedback
When photographing flowers, think about composition and light. If you want to achieve the natural soft look it helps if the subject is in natural good lighting (but not direct sunlight) By using a small f-stop It gave me a good depth of focus and threw out the background.
