Behind The Lens

Location
This shot was taken in my home studio, in Vilnius.
Time
It was night time... around 2 am... First spring days, 2 of march, cold and dark outside most hours of the day...
Lighting
The lighting in this shot was the most important gear... it was the clue... I used only one but special lamp that I could adjust and rotate in different angles and positions to get the best lighting composition...
Equipment
I used Nikon with 50mm lens, Joby Gorillapod Flexible Tripod, adjustable lamp and water spray of course...
Inspiration
It was the flower, Freesia and its soleness, oneness....circle of flowers life in a blooming process... One gorgeous flower is opening after another in a row...Just amazing and tender flower!
Editing
Yes, of course I did post-processing. Lightroom is my digital laboratory these days and no one photo is not coming out without Lightroom inspection, correction and creative adjustments ... :)
In my camera bag
It depends on what kind of photo session is gonna happen next... Camera, lens, tripods, filters, converters, remote controls....everything you need for specific shot...
Feedback
You need the Model first, then the Background with the right distance to it, then the right lens for your shot idea, tripod for sure, lighting equipment and a bit of creative motivation and time to find the best one or two shots in final composition!
