Location
This was shot in Dunfermline ,Scotland and is Dunfermline Abbey, home of King Robert the Bruce's interred body.Time
It was taken on November 1st 2013( a really cold night I remember)around 9pm.Lighting
The abbey is lit at night so I just put it on night landscape and shot remotely.Equipment
I used a good heafty tripod an 18-55mm lens and used my Nikon D7000 with remote control.Inspiration
I have always loved the abbey and thousands of photos have been taken but none from that angle and at night.Editing
No post-processing was used.In my camera bag
Oh I have two cameras,both Nikon,one a D7000 and the other a D3100.I have a 18-55mm lens,a 70-300mm lens and a 35mm prime lens.Also there is cleaning kit,a torch,a pouch containing gradual filters,a macro lens,a flash gun and a macro ring flash.Feedback
By all means take the iconic shot of a building/bridge/etc...but be different and look at the subject from odd angles. You may have to climb a wall or use stepladders (be careful!)just try and be out of the box sometimes!
