I took this photo at Higgins Neuk by the side of the Clackmannanshire crossing, which crosses the river forth south of Stirling and Alloa, I'm a self taught amateur photographer,Time
I took this photo at 6pm on the 13th if march 2013 as the sun was setting, nights are long during winter in Scotland and I caught this during sunset,Lighting
The sun was setting so I worked with what was available to me, knowing what time your local sunset / sunrise helps alot with shooting outdoors,Equipment
I used for this photo a canon 500d with the 18-55mm lens that came with the camera I tend not to use a tripod,Inspiration
I had been looking at Silhouette images online and wanted to try for myself, some of the images I had liked were reportage style, this isn't something I've done but wanted to try silhouette so off I went,Editing
I did some post processing mainly tweeking light levels and increasing contrast to make the black of the tree stand out,In my camera bag
In my bag at the moment is my canon 1100d camera a sigma 17-70mm f2.8 lens a canon 28-135mm f3.5 lens cleaning equipment, shutter release and microfiber towel.Feedback
If your chasing the sun for the right image have fun, digital photography only costs your time and if your enjoying yourself then it's time well spent,
