Location
This shot was taken at Dixeville Notch in New Hampshire in October of 2003.Time
Shot late afternoon just before golden hour.Lighting
The sun was at my back and was just bright enough to make the reflection but not enough to blow it out.Equipment
Shot with a Canon 10D, F4.5, ISO 800, 1/2000, available light.Inspiration
All the planets lined up and I found just the colorful fall shot I was looking for. The color and the shape of the shoreline along with the still water to make a great reflection.Editing

I carry all Canon Equipment. Now days I carry a 5D, 50D, 100-400 ISL,17-40 L, 50mm 1.4, 28-135 IS, 430EX and 530EX flash, cable release, circular polarizing filters, and a set of defusers. I also carry a Bogen Wilderness Tripod or a Bogen Monopod on all outings.Feedback
Look for still water, good lighting, and a deep depth of field to make a shot like this. Look for clean and attractive foreground and background with no distractions.
