The picture was taken in the afternoon around three o'clock.Lighting
I had my camera set for taking pictures of eagles. I was using the tungsten light setting in hopes of getting the sky a nice blue. I saw the cat and had my husband to stop the car so I could take a view shots of it.Equipment
I use Canon 7D and the EFS 100-400mm lens. Handheld-f/5.6, ISO 400, focal length was 400.Inspiration
It was one of those spontaneous moments that can't be recreated. The town of Port Royal is very historical and has some beautiful old homes. This was an old shed in disrepair by the road. They have alot of cats in this area and when I saw this one sitting there I knew it was a great photo op. One of my favorite photos.Editing
I shot with tungsten light setting and it came out slightly blue- I lightened it so it would not be so harsh. In my camera bag
Canon 7D-100-400 mm lens- 55-250 lens-tripod- small things like remote shutter release, cleaner, ect.Feedback
In my situation if something grabs your attention do not pass it by. Slowly approach and do not be loud.
