The visual stimuli we observe can affect how we feel about what is before us. Color can be a powerful aid or adversary when it comes to attraction, and the color an individual wears can render them more likely, or less likely to attract a partner, a job, or a friend. Studies reveal that people make judgements about each other, within 90 seconds of meeting. We may fail to recognize the impact color has on ourselves and others when it comes to our clothing, but this doesn’t alter the fact that our color choices are attracting, or repelling other people each day. Color plays a large part in what, and who we find attractive. Wearing the right color can attract a member of the opposite sex or do the opposite. Color can also influence what we read and what we buy, proving that color may be responsible for some important choices we make. Colors can also inspire friendship. We may find another person attractive in a non sexual sense because subconsciously we enjoy the color they are wearing.

THE COLOUR PURPLE ~ Purple stands out as a feminine color because it is chosen almost exclusively by women as a favourite color and is strongly disliked by men. Traditionally associated with royalty, the color purple is also spiritual, romantic, and mysterious. The color of mourning for widows in Thailand, purple was the favorite color of Egypt’s Cleopatra. It has been traditionally associated with royalty in many cultures. Purple robes were worn by royalty and people of authority or high rank.

Wearing Purple ~ Unique and Special. Wearing purple shows others that you want to be noticed. Purple is seldom worn as a neutral color. It is the wrong color choice if you want to blend in among others as you go about your business. The color purple, especially shades of violet, will definitely make a statement. Wearing purple shows others that you want to be noticed. If it is your desire to feel special and unique then purple is the right color choice. If you would like to send a message out into the world that you’re one of a kind and that you could care less about conformity, then wear purple.
