Behind The Lens

Location

Im a Youth Pastor. I take my camera on every trip I take with my students. We had gone to Gulf Shores, Alabama for spring break and were sitting on the beach watching this sunset together.

Time

This was a beautiful sunset. I had just finished dinner on the beach with my students and we were lamenting about how cold th water was (it was March) and yet how we could feel the last bit of sunlight on our skin before it was evening.

Lighting

I think that sunsets tell stories about each state. The sunsets in Gulf Shores are golden and beautiful.

Equipment

Nikon D3100

Inspiration

I think the world is absolutely beautiful. Whether Gods creation or manmade beauty, I am constantly looking for opportunities to take pictures of nature and decay.

Editing

I didn't use any post processing. I was really fortunate to be able to capture this shot on the outdoor setting on my camera

In my camera bag

Just my Nikon D3100 and a lot of laughter.

Feedback

Take your camera with you while you're doing every day things. Shoot on different settings. Figure out what works. Im an amateur photographer. Most of my work has been trial and error which has been a blast. Don't be afraid to be unconventional.
