Behind The Lens

Location

Ohio, USA. It was web weaving against the stucco wall of my house.

Time

Night time.

Lighting

Overhead spot light and behind shining on the wall bouncing onto the underneath of the spider. Flash fill.

Equipment

Canon T3i. EF-S 55-250 lens with 2 stop extension tube. Tripod with on camera flash.

Inspiration

Practice! I was very new to photography when I shot this.

Editing

Sharpened in Lightroom. Played with levels a little.

In my camera bag

No longer have either the body or lens. Now Canon 7D/ 6D. Canon 50mm F1.4, Canon 24-105mm F4L, Sigma 120-300 F2.8, Canon 580EX flash. Manfrotto Tripod with gimbal type head.

Feedback

Have patience with the creature. Check the exposure on the brightest part of the image/frame which may not be the subject. Pay attention to everything in the frame.
