Location
This horoscope was taken at the Tulip Festival in Skagit Valley, WA. I am a self-taught photographerTime
This was mid afternoon and as typical in Washington, it was starting to rain so we were leaving. I stopped to pick something up, and took this photo. It was mid afternoon and the colors against the grey skies caught my eye.Lighting
I got lucky that the clouds had tamped down the sun and allowed the natural light to soften everything.Equipment
I used my Canon Rebel. No additional equipment was used.Inspiration
Honestly, I didn’t have a desire to take a photo like this. I was really working on close ups and portraits, and this just happened. It was really an accident that has become popular. It’s my husband’s favorite photo of any that I’ve taken.Editing
Not really. I adjusted the saturation and contrast. That’s about it.In my camera bag
I am a true amateur and only have my Canon Rebel and cleaning gear.Feedback
Don’t pressure yourself for the perfect shot. This was a happy accident that I never intended to take. It just organically happened, and sometimes those are the best ones.
