Location
This image was taken in the woodlands of Oxfordshire near Woodcote. UK.Time
Taken in the morning around 8.30amLighting
The image is all about light and shadow, the morning sunlight in woods is one of the most beautiful scenes provided in my view. I love to try to capture this beauty, it tend to be fleeting, once the sun is fully risen this light is gone and we must wait for another day to see this magical scene.Equipment
Canon EOS 30D with tripod and kit lens.Inspiration
I love the morning sun filtering through the trees providing a magical scene. A cold morning and a warm sun provides this light mist with streaming rays of light.Editing
Incrased saturation levels, tweaked contrast and provided a slight soft guassian blur to the scene to provide dreamy feel.In my camera bag
Canon EOS 30D or 6D. Canon 17-55mm lense, Canon 70-200mm, Tamron super zoom.Feedback
These conditions are fleeting and you must know your local woods in order to get the location in the right weather conditions at the right time. Getting acceptable composition in woodlands can be a challenge given the chaotic nature of natural woodlands but look for lines and shapes made by the trunks and lighting.
