Location
This photo was taken in Hayes, Virginia on the road going past my home.Time
It was early afternoon in January, 2014Lighting
The sun was not shinning through the clouds so the only light that was in use was the natural lighting from the snow.Equipment
The camera was a Canon EOS 60D; No tripod was used, I stopped walking behind my Grandson an took the picture with no flash. The lens was an EFS18-135mm with an image stabilizer and auto focusInspiration
This was my Grandson's first experience with snow. He was just enjoying walking in it.Editing
I added a little contrast to the picture to enhance it a little bit.In my camera bag
I have two Canon cameras EOS 60D, and EOS Rebel T5 with lenses for close shots and telephoto for distant shots. That is the reason for two cameras.Feedback
The best shots sometimes come at a spur of the moment, can't always plan your shots. Always be ready when you are out walking, and also make sure your batteries are fully charged. You will remember the one that got away because your battery died. The bad thing about that is that you can talk all you want but No-one will believe you unless you have a photo. Keep looking for BIGFOOT, and keep taking your photos. Take many pictures, you can easily delete those that didn't take very well. That is the nice thing about the new digital cameras.
