the event pretty much ran over a whole weekend. This shot was taken on the Saturday (first day) around mid morningLighting
The weather was incredible over the two day event, going from torrential rainfall, through hail, to breaks in the cloud and some gorgeous sunshine, but mostly stormy conditions with grey steely light. On the sunday the wind was so strong that a small sandstorm developed on the beach and it was almost impossible to stand up. The windsurfers were just incredible, they kept heading out an doing their stuff whatever the conditionsEquipment

The Mission 3 storm chasers released information about the journey to Cornwall and to have the opportunity to be out on the cliffs following and photographing these guys in such amazing conditions was just too good to missEditing

Get out there whatever the weather, there are nearly always shots to be had. Keep an eye on forthcoming events and find different positions to get your shots. Shoot low on the beach to accentuate the high of the waves and the sense of the competitor in amongst the thick of it. Go higher on the cliffs to get an overall viewpoint
