Location
I shot this at a bird sanctuary in Delta, BC, Canada. The eagle was perched in the tree but was obviously not impressed with me pointing my camera at him.Time
It was around late morning and very bright as you can see.Lighting
It was a very bright day.Equipment
I used my 17 - 85mm lens on my Canon Eos 40D as I thought we were going out to get landscapes.Inspiration
It just seemed such a perfect opportunity and as mentioned earlier he was just sitting in the tree but took off after I snapped a couple of shots, so I was able to get him in flight. And being a rank amateur, I was very excited.Editing
LOTS...... I had to crop the image and adjust the highlights and shadows and sharpen and adjust some of the coloring. I was, and still kinda am. not 100% happy with the outcome but my peers seem to like it and I really appreciate their feedback. In my camera bag
I do not carry a bag, I just head out with my camera and one lens, I guess I am a lazy photographer lol.Feedback
Not really, as I mentioned I was in the right place at the right time. If I had it to do over, I would have taken my zoom lens.
