I have wanted to do shoots like these, and I finally did one. I was really happy with the result. I decided not to photoshop ANY imperfections, or any blemishes because this shows my stretch marks and how every woman isn't as perfect and super skinny like society thinks they should be. Girls, are surrounded by bulletin boards and magazines and advertisements that push being skinny is pretty. Photographers can completely manipulate a picture of a model and make her look completely different, her cheek bones could be made smaller, blemishes erased, her thighs could be shrunk, her waist could be narrowed, the possibilities are endless. By not editing this picture I took I want to show people, not just women but everyone that imperfections are OK, in fact they're beautiful. Stretch marks show how you've grown. The world isn't perfect and none of the people are in it either, society needs to change its perspective of 'beauty' or what 'beautiful' is. -rant over.
