Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken outside my city in Alberta Canada

Time

My photo was taken at sunset

Lighting

There was a thunderstorm warning and the skies were dark and stormy, but it gave a nice reflection with the sun setting.

Equipment

I used an Olympus E3 with a 50-200mm lens.

Inspiration

I was actually doing a bit of storm chasing and i knew the sunset would be spectacular. It always us when there is a storm on the Alberta prairies.

Editing

I did some post-processing on Aperture, as well as Nik Software HDR program.

In my camera bag

I always carry Olympus. Now I usually carry the OMD EM1, swutching to a mirrorless system with a 25-80mm, 90mm, and the 80-300mm equivalent.

Feedback

If you want to capture something similar, don't be afraid to bare the elements of weather. Sunset or just before dusk is a great time to shoot. In order to get this much in focus, use an aperture of at least f.5.
