This photo was taken on the Captain Cook Highway between Port Douglas and Cairns in Far north Queensland Australia In 2009Time
I just had to stop.........as the sunrise was so magnificent. I was on my way to an early morning seminar in Cairns on colour and the power of light and colour on the human nervous system so my mind was pondering the qualities and meanings colour and light awareness and their inspiration to the human nervous system and realised that I had to stop and soak in the sunrise for a moment!!!Lighting
Whilst I was aware of the dawn rising, noticing the clarity and calm that morning I became aware of the intense red-gold of the sun across the ocean and that juxtaposition emotionally inspired a deeply energised calmness in meEquipment
I only had my little FinePix A340 point and shoot with me.........but it did a good job of witnessing the moment for me to treasure through time.........Inspiration
I couldn't ignore the quality and colours of the light, I don't often drive this road at dawn and luckily could find a place to pull over.Editing
At the time I knew nothing about post processing so this photo is almost as the camera captured it with a tiny amount of tweaking in the old i=photo programme. This little camera was brilliant with sunrises and sunsets I just had to learn to time them and watch for them coming! In my camera bag
Normally I carry my Nikon 7200 with an 18-300 lens but it just shows what you can do very simply......just being present in the moment.Feedback
Be aware, ready and have the time to be able to be present.........
