I love shooting in different weather and snow is one of my favorites.

Experimenting with some photoshop trickery.

I didn't have to do much post production on this one. I love the colors and washed out background that was my garage.

These two sisters were rescues and are inseparable. So glad we were able to keep them together.

Behind The Lens

Location

I took this shot in my living room. It's amazing how you can transform any room with a little bit of creativity.

Time

I always try and shoot my indoor shots at night. I don't own a studio so keeping the daylight out of my photos is much easier to do when the sun goes down.

Lighting

I used two strobe lights. One placed to my rear for some rim light and the other angled in front. I set the cameras lighting to Tungsten to give the lighting more of the blue cast to simulate TV light.

Equipment

I have a Canon T2i. I place a tripod in front and a black backdrop behind me to loose any distractions.

Inspiration

It was late in the evening and I was feeling creative and other than photography a good movie is a favorite pastime. So the idea to combine my two loves got its start. I also have the best photo buddy in the world. My Boston Terrier.

Editing

The colored bokeh lights behind me were added for effect. I think it works well with this shot and adds interest. Also the TV remote controller was pasted in to cover up my camera remote.

In my camera bag

My Canon T2i and EOS-D my Canon 28-135 lens. Also I have my Canon 70-200 2.8 IS II USM that I don't go anywhere without. A couple pocket wizards and speed lights (Canon and Nikon) that I use outdoors and in stay with me also.
