Chateau de Chenonceau is a 16th century French Chateau spanning the River Cher near the village of Chenonceaux located in the Loire Valley in France. It is one of the best known chateaux of the Loire Valley.
It was completed in 1522 and represents a type of architecture transitional between Gothic and Renaissance.

floor that was once a ballroom. This was taken on my second trip to France and the French countryside. ©Copyright 1995 Lorraine Palumbo. All Rights Reserved.
