Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at a wreck near Ben Nevis, the largest mountain in the UK.

Time

It was in the middle of a rainy afternoon

Lighting

I was taking a photography trip to the Scottish Highlands and this was one of the destinations I had chosen. The weather when I took it was very poor.

Equipment

It was taken in extremely heavy rain so I didn’t risk my camera. I took it with my iPhone 11.

Inspiration

I had seen other pictures of the wreck with the mountain behind so went to see if I could get a good photograph of it.

Editing

It was processed using Lightroom Mobile to add some contrast and texture particularly to the grey sky which was a bit washed out.

In my camera bag

A Canon 90D plus a variety of Canon, Tamron and Sigma lenses from fish-eye right up to 600mm.

Feedback

If you see a good image don’t be afraid to take a photo with your phone if you don’t have or can’t use your camera.
