Behind The Lens

Location

This photograph was taken in Ogunquit, Maine while I was standing on the Marginal Way. This is one of a series of photographs that I took on my sunrise photo shoot on September 2, 2023.

Time

This was taken during blue hour around 6:30 am on September 2, 2023.

Lighting

This photograph was taken during blue hour which is about 30 minutes before sunrise. As I was walking out to set up my equipment and find a spot along with other photographers, I stopped and took several blue hour shots. This image is one of the shots.

Equipment

I used a Canon RP Mirrorless Full Frame Camera with a RF24-105mm Lens. I did not use a tripod. I shot this leaning up against a bench for stability. Camera setting were: ISO800, aperture at f/10, and shutter speed at 1/4 sec.

Inspiration

I was looking to do a photo shoot in Ogunquit, Maine on the weekend I was there. Due to mostly rainy weather that weekend September 2nd was the day.

Editing

For post-processing, I used Adobe Lightroom Classic which I have been using for about 3 years.

In my camera bag

I typically have 3 - 4 different lenses, 2 batteries, several memory cards, battery charger, etc.

Feedback

The weather constantly changes, be patient, and things fall into place. Be prepared for rain and hot weather. The weather in New England has been unusual the last two years.
