This was taken from my ferry ride from Swan's Island to Bass Harbor, Maine. There was no ferry on New Year's Day, so the workers did a great job of packing the cars in tight. I'm not sure if I was parked too close to the rail, the thick clothing that I had on was too bulky, or if I just ate too much over Christmas and New Year's, but getting out of my door wasn't an option when I saw the sun start to appear. So, I opened my sunroof and stood on my driver's seat. (I have to wonder what the locals thought about seeing that.) I was happy just getting pictures of the sun coming over the departing cloud bank when all of a sudden there was an F-V (fishing vessel for those of you who didn't know) coming into my frame. I was more than delighted. Coming from a fishing family, nothing could have made me happier!!!
