I was in the 4th grade and my teacher taught us "Happy Talk" from "SOUTH PACIFIC" and we used our hands posed like this to have the hands talk to each other.

Also, she has a very thin waist and her hps really flair out. I thnk the flair is caused by her clothing. I can see the outline of her crossed legs, but I cannt account for th extra flair.
