Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in Denver, Colorado. I looked for an area where I can shoot the skyline of Denver. I am a self taught photographer. I love doing landscapes, foral and animals. I have sold several shots over the years which is exciting. I would like to sell more of my art. It is a true passion for me.

Time

I took this around three in the afternoon I didnot use a tripod. I leaned against whatever I could to steady the camera.

Lighting

I took this shot in color. But to add drama I changed to black and white. So glad I did.

Equipment

I use a D5300 Nikon. With a Tamron 10-24 lens.

Inspiration

I always wanted to take a skyline of Denver. I would have liked to find a higher elevation but this is the best I could find at the time. I was happy with the color shots but when I changed this to black and white, wow I was excited.

Editing

I changed this to black and white in lightroom. I sure got a great response when I made the change.

In my camera bag

In my bag is a D5300 Nikon. I have three lens. Tamron 10-24, Nikon 18-55 and a Tamron 90mm macro I like to have the camera manual handy, of course wipes to clean lens.

Feedback

Take your time shooting. Walk around and shoot from different angles. Look for the hero of the shot and lines leading to it when shot requires it.
