This looks so peaceful in a place that was very chaotic over 200 years ago. This is at the Moores Creek Battlefield. I wonder what it was like during the early days of the revolutionary war. Did the solders see scenes like this? Were they too focused on the battle to come? Were the women there too busy cooking or preparing themselves for the battle? And now, over 200 years later, we get to find scenes like this and be thankful for the rebels who decided they no longer wanted to be ruled by King George or anyone else.
