the first sign of spring. beautiful crocus

I have a small pond and my front yard and for the sole purpose of frogs and toads, I stacked several rocks in the corner because they seem to enjoy it. this little girl and boy sat there singing for most of the afternoon!

morning glories are one of my favorite flowers especially the very large blue ones. I caught this picture early one morning with the dew still visible.

I always plant milkweed for the monarchs and if I'm lucky enough I'm able to locate one or more chrysalis. I was fortunate enough to find five a couple of years ago. this one had just emerged and what an exciting site this is to see!

it is always good to be on alert for these saddleback caterpillars! don't touch them or they're little bristles will stick in your hands and you will feel like you have been stung by a hundred bees!!

Autumn Joy sedum is a wonderful pollinator for bees and butterflies and hummingbirds! this little Pearl crescent spent much time enjoying it!
