I took this photo in our front yard right after a very intense thunder and lightning storm just before sunset. Honestly, is one of the first photos that made me realize I still had some talent left in me and sparked the 50,000 or so pictures that came after that!Time
I took this as the sun was setting after the rain from the storm stopped. That day was also the day I captured my first lightning bolt photos!Lighting
I wanted this picture to be just as vivid and bold in photo form as it was in real life! It was such an amazing and brilliant bright reds and oranges, like the sky was on fire! I don't have any special editing software I honestly use the free view bug editing a lot of times..Equipment
I had just gotten my first phone that had a decent camera and hadn't started my photography go bag yet so I just had my Galaxy S8 and an umbrellaInspiration
I've loved taking pictures since middle school when I took darkroom photography going on to digital photography and earning my degree in Radio and Television Broadcast Occupations. After that I struggled with depression for a long time and lost my ability to see any good or beauty in the world. I've only just started being able to enjoy things and hobbies again... I saw the sunset casting light onto the clouds that looked like fire and I thought it was so incredible I wanted a picture. I took a bunch but this one really stood out to me and I was in awe of the masterpiece I had captured! This was the first time I considered that maybe I had some talent.Editing
I honestly use Google photos for most of my storage and a lot of my post processing in general. I also like the free one on here as well! I typically will manually go through each of the adjustments and tweak things individually and small increments instead of using the preset filters. For this one I was just starting out and only adjusted the contrast, clarity, and exposure. In my camera bag
My photography go bag always has my tripod with remote (although that's the one thing I take with me everywhere besides my phone), hey selfie stick, a charged power bank, a flashlight, a clip on fill light, a few different lenses, lens cleaner and cloth, a pocket knife, a multi-tool and a snack!Feedback
