Laghi Dei Piani in front of Monte Paterno, Refuggio A. Locatelli and in the background the Tre Cime de Lavaredo, the main attraction of this natural park in the Dolomites, NorthEastern part of Italy. It was a very long hike around the peaks and we also chose the high route on Monte Paterno, which we found risky and challenging. I recommend to take the route South of the peaks when going out to the lakes and do the same going back to the Refuggio Auronzo, to save time.
