This approximately 2.5 - 3mtr long predator is just outside the outskirts of Innisfail, in Far North Queensland. Saltwater crocodiles are quite prevalent now, due to the cessation of culling laws, which has led to an over abundance of these scaly handbags!! It is not uncommon these days to see large crocodiles basking in the sun, on a sandy strip, near popular swimming holes!! Foreign tourists and southern visitors are constantly being reminded to observe where they're swimming, and to take precautions in the inviting clear cool waters of the tropical rivers.
