Location
This photo was taken in Debert, Nova Scotia at the Debert Air Field. They were having an air show and I decided to give my telephoto lens a go, as I haven't done that before with this type of event.Time
This photo was taken around noon hour, the exact time escapes me but I was there all afternoon with the family taking in the sights and sounds. I was fortunate to have a cloudy day as I didn't want the sun to interfere too much with what I was looking at. It was the perfect day for this.Lighting
To be honest, I just wanted to use the natural light around me. No flash, no meter, nothing. Just my eye and the day and it worked out perfectly!Equipment
For this image I used my Canon EOS 90D and my 75mm-300mm telephoto lens.Inspiration
What is not inspiring about a person strapped to the top of an airplane doing tricks?! I was in complete awe of the pilots and wing walkers, especially during a loopty-loop. I know I couldn't do it.Editing
For this image I didn't play around too much with the post-processing. I use Luminar AI to do my editing and just love the program. I just upped some of the contrast and structure to ensure as much detail as possible was visible. In my camera bag
In my bag I normally have my camera, my standard and telephoto lenses, my remote shutter, photo balls, cleaning kit, extra batteries and SD cards. Can never have too many of those. Other than that, not much else goes in there. I try to keep it as minimal as possible.Feedback
Relax and don't think about it too much. Enjoy the moment and keep your eye on the prize. Sometimes you'll surprise yourself.
