Location
I was travelling with my family on a riverboat cruise down the Danube River and Budapest was the final stop of the cruise. However, we stayed in Budapest three extra days so we could explore and fully appreciate this beautiful city.Time
During our sight seeing travel of the City's downtown area, we came upon this large, old building near the Danube river front where many people were entering and leaving the building. We entered the building about mid-afternoon on Saturday and were told by some local people that it was the Budapest Marketplace.Lighting
Since large windows surround the building's structure and the day was sunny outside, lighting was no problem. The openness of the structure gave the inside a light and airy appearance and easy to capture this image.Equipment
This image was shot with a Nikon D7100 camera using a Tamron 18-280 mm F/3.5 lens. No other equipment was needed.Inspiration
During my trip I was visiting other beautiful cities along the Danube River such as Regensburg and Passau, Germany, Vienna and Prague in the Czech Republic. I was particularly interested in photographing the beautiful architecture and ancient buildings and streets located in these magnificent cities.Editing
I post-processed this image using Lightroom software. I was fortunate the lighting in the building was perfect so I didn't have much editing to perform. In my camera bag
When travelling, my go to camera is my Nikon D7100 and Tamron 18-280 mm lens. I don't want to be weighed down carrying equipment I might not need. My Tamron lens is very capable of capturing all the images I shoot during my travels.Feedback
If you are someone who enjoys taking travel photos I strongly recommend a trip to Eastern Europe to capture stunning landscapes and architectural gems.
