It's not easy to find hamsters in Vienna's cemeteries this year. There seem to be fewer than in recent years and those few are quite shy. So I never expected to get a baby hamster in front of the lens! This one probably comes from the second litter of the year and was really very, very young - the fur isn't really pronounced yet, certainly not the typical markings and he was also very unsteady on his feet.
