This photo was taken in Oliver British Columbia. On the way to a beautiful winery (Burrowing Owl), this building and a couple of other abandoned farm buildings sit in a state of decay and disrepair.Time
It was in the late afternoon, almost sunset which comes a bit early in the valley.Lighting

I passed the building on the way to the winery and knew I had to stop on the way back. Someone told me it reminds them of an Andrew Wyeth painting, and I find the scene somewhat romantic in it's memory of a time long ago when there was likely a farm on this site.Editing
I have not although I think if I went back to it I could improve it, I would change the grass in the foreground and emphasize the railings a bit more.In my camera bag
Depends - generally mu kit lens 24-105, although if I am going to shott something specific I will decide on a prime lens - either wide or long depending. I also shoot film and have a 28mm and a 35mm for that purpose.Feedback
Part of this was to get a good angle on it. So try differnt perspectives as it changes the feel of it. As this was abandoned, I purposely shot so that it sttood out as if it was isolated in time and perspective
