This is a view from inside the nave of the cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris, facing the West Rose Window, the oldest of the three rose windows. Though I'm only one of millions of visitors in its long history, I count myself lucky that I got to see the inside of the great cathedral once before it was ravaged by fire less than 5 years later.
