Here is another fly species. This one is by far one of the biggest fly species I have ever seen, the commom name "robber flies and Assassin Flies" reflects their expert predatory habits. They feed mainly or exclusively on other insects, they usually wait on a plant or rock and then they ambush and catch their prey in flight when they pass near them.
