You are having the same problem as me. I have blown out whites on my swans. Everyone has a some, someplace on it. That is the problem with the top of the big flower. See how lovely all the bottom petals are in the shaded bottom? Whites need some shade so you can lighten them a bit with post processing and get all the details. My family is from Bavaria--Klopp, that eventually changed to Clapp here in US. I suppose due to the bad writing in those long ago days. 😀

I have these same peonies in my garden. They are beautiful until it rains - then they flop down and some petals fall off! They are still very lovely flowers.
