Behind The Lens

Location

South Kensington, Melbourne Victoria Australia.

Time

Took this photograph around 10am. It was pouring with rain when I first got there, but the sun came out just as the train was coming through.

Lighting

Knowing the front was going to be a bit backlit, chose to shoot in monochrome.

Equipment

Nikon D5600 with my 55-300mm lens.

Inspiration

Always love photographing Steam Locomotives, especially on cooler days where you will see lots of smoke.

Editing

A little crop and a little bit of sharpening.

In my camera bag

My camera, Nikon D5600, my AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-300MM F/4.5-5.6 G ED VR LENS and my Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 18-140mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR Lens

Feedback

Practice is the key.
