Behind The Lens

Location

I captured this male ruby throated hummingbird perched on a metal sculpture of a Cardinal. This little man is very territorial and sits guarding both of his feeders . He is so funny as he will occasionally buzz me while I’m sitting and drinking my coffee and he hovers right in front of me . It’s like he is wondering what I am drinking.

Time

This was taken around 9:30 am while I was sitting on my porch drinking my coffee. The morning was bright and warm .

Lighting

The shot was all natural lighting with the morning sun shining down on this little fella.

Equipment

I always use my I Phone pro max

Inspiration

I watch the antics of these lovely little birds and watching them makes me smile and that for right then my world was ok .

Editing

I did no processing as I prefer my photos to be as natural as possible. Nothing in this world is perfect and sometimes that is the beauty of a shot .

In my camera bag

I only use my phone .

Feedback

Patience is paramount to any good photo . You must wait and watch for that one shot and be rewarded when it all comes together.
