I took this photo from my backyard as I watched the birds having fun.Time
I took this photo in the afternoon of February of 2023. It was in the 20's when I was out watching the birds play. This one particular bird kept posing for me. I had taken several shots of him and enjoyed this one the most. It was if he was looking straight at me and wanted me to photograph him.Lighting
There was fresh snow on the ground and that afternoon there was plenty of light. I was shooting at a fast speed as the birds move very fast. This guy would stay perfectly still with different poses as I was shooting. I felt as if he was communicating with me.Equipment
This pic was shot with a Nikon Coolpix P900. The photo was shot with camera being hand held.Inspiration
I'm fascinated by the fact of birds flying. I've had pet birds throughout my life and they do have different personalities. This particular bird seemed to not be afraid of me and also wondered what I was doing.Editing
ON this particular photo there was no processing. In my camera bag
My Coolpix, some different filters for different settings and naturally cleaning supply's.Feedback
Be dressed to be in the environment and inconspicuous. Have patience to sit or stand for periods of time. Go to a place where your subjects are present and wait. Take every shot that's available and hope you have a good one. This photo came from a batch of 83 photos taken during that sitting. Only a couple were saved. Also learned lesson s on what to do and not to do.
